Wing Defence Are Your New Favourite Band

Their bio reads "just a couple gals that are here if you need" and I'm going to take this opportunity to say... You need Wing Defence. Exploding onto the scene out of nowhere with debut single Stuck, now is the time to get onboard with Wing Defence. 

Hailing from Adelaide with a serious lack of background on who they actually are, there's not much to say about Wing Defence beyond the fact they are brilliant, new and incredibly exciting given the calibre of their debut single Stuck. 

Luckily, there is plenty to say about Stuck. The band's debut single coming in at just under three minutes introduces itself with a series of conversational samples that set you up to be thoroughly caught off guard when vocalist Skye Lockwood delivers the first true lyric of the song. "Few things you've said are stuck on repeat" introduces the track through a thematic paradox to the listeners experience of the song; you're going to find this song firmly stuck on repeat in your head. 

Through the course of the song a story of a relationship caught in a state flux between wanting to stay and go unfolds. Delivered through snapping drums, reprise and arguably the best chorus of the year to date; Stuck begs you to shout along with it. Ever building, constantly surprising and continually causing you to hit that repeat button it's an incredible debut from an artist to follow closely.
