Freya's Breath and Chime Is The Best Song You Will Hear This Weekend

Freya's Breath and Chime Is The Best Song You Will Hear This Weekend

Melbourne's finest exporter of premium dreamo, Freya, has released her latest single right on time for your weekend and you're going to want to kick back and get comfortable with it.

Freya is bold in her ambition for beauty, intricacy and intimacy in sophomore single Breath and Chime. To set out as a solo musician with the goal of creating soundscapes to the scale of Freya's music is commendable enough in it's own right. The ability to execute on that ambition with such incredible precision and brilliance however, that's nothing short of remarkable. A word that slaps you in the face again and again with every listen of Breath and Chime.

Starting with a fast running bass line before blowing out to the traditional elements of a three piece band, Breath and Chime takes it further still as self harmonisation and a dream like ambience take hold of the track.  Breath and Chime is highlighted by Freya's vocals; soaring in the choruses and holding you close in its verses. It's through and through brilliant on the surface but when considered as the construct of one individual musician it becomes something truly special.

Written around intimacy, Breath and Chime, explores the emotion and anxiety of being with someone for the first time. The song is electric, at times daunting whilst at others delicate; ultimately encapsulating the thematic setting of the song as an audible listener experience.

Breath and Chime is a taste of things to come from Freya's debut album, The Fifth, scheduled for release later this year. Promising an album of equal intimacy and honesty as its lead single.
