Nominations are now open for The Echo Awards 2017. An annual awards recognising excellence in the Australian music industry with a focus on independent artists. To be eligible for an Echo artists or individuals must have released music, toured or operated as an independent artist/label within the last 12 months in their corresponding field of nomination.
Nominations will close Friday 24 November with the 4 highest voted, eligible nominees in each category going on to be formally nominated for public voting to determine the winner.
That's right, a DIY as heck, publicly nominated and voted annual award dishing out trophies that I will most likely make out of random items I find laying about the house nailed to a plank of wood and spray painted gold.
